Overview
Philosophy of care | My philosophy of care is that I must treat you as I would want to be treated. As a medical professional I must be empathetic, sympathetic, kind, knowledgeable and professional. I feel I must be accountable for every patient I work with. My beliefs, values and ethics are always there regarding the care and treatment of you and the others in my care. | Why I entered medicine | I entered the medical field because of my love of science and people. I always wanted to make a difference. I always loved the endless learning and the array of opportunities it offered me. I have job security and the ability to pick from among many specialties. Medicine satisfied my love of science and allowed me to connect to many people. | Community involvement | Community involvement is especially important to me. By always being involved, I have made many friends, bettered my community, met vital needs, raised money, raised concerns, obtained grants and cleaned neighborhoods. I have organized fundraisers and strengthened relationships with my own children by supporting all they did. I have worked with the East Mountain Residents Association, the Glenmaura Commons Homeowners Association, the Scranton Zoning Board, the Scranton High School Knight Rhythms, the Football Booster Club and the Cross Country Club. I have been involved with the PTA at all levels (elementary, middle and high schools) within the Scranton School District. | Personal interests | My personal interests come from my true love of learning. Being a parent, I have been able to further my interests because of my family. Together we have camped, hiked and traveled. We have explored, read and researched all we visited and saw. My family are all runners who have participated in many local and state races and marathons, cheering and supported each other while doing so. I also am a baker. As you can imagine, my family are the best food critics ever. Truly, my personal interests have made me who I am.
