Dr. Meagan C. Derbyshire

Meagan Cecilia Derbyshire, MD, is a colorectal surgeon with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery, she specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of colorectal conditions, including disorders of the colon, rectum, and anus. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to all patients and ensuring they are educated about their condition and treatment.Dr. Derbyshire obtained her bachelor degree in philosophy and political science, magna cum laude, from Macaulay Honors College at CUNY College of Staten Island, Staten Island, NY, followed by her medical degree from Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT. She then completed a general surgery residency at UMass Chan Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA, followed by a colon and rectal surgery advanced minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Advent Health Colon & Rectal Surgery Fellowship, Orlando, FL, and a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Allegheny Health Network Medical Education Consortium / St. Vincent’s Hospital, Erie, PA. Prior to joining AMG, she served as a patient liaison / pavilion coordinator at Staten Island University Hospital Emergency Department, Staten Island, NY, a file clerk / receptionist / medical assistant at Comprehensive Pediatrics, also in Staten Island, and a camp counselor / program assistant / lead course facilitator / lifeguard at Girl Scout Council of Greater New York, Holmes, NY. She has authored peer-reviewed publications, delivered presentations, and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
