
Overview
Melissa grew up in Springfield, Missouri before heading south to attend National Park Community College in Hot Springs, Arkansas where she earned an associate degree in Nursing. Melissa continued her education at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith where she graduated Nursing Valedictorian. She moved to Colorado and began working for a hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. During her time at the hospital, she held various positions from staff nurse to manager. She obtained a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs and has been working in family practice in Pueblo West, Colorado for the last two years. Melissa’s clinical interests vary from women’s to mental to pediatric health.“My goal is to meet people where they are, and through communication, compassion and teamwork promote health and wellness for patients, families and our community.”When not spending time caring for patients, Melissa enjoys reading, crafting, riding her motorcycle, disc golf and spending time with her husband, who was her high school sweetheart, and their rescue dog and cat.
