Prior to joining the faculty at U-M, Dr. Eliason served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and as a staff surgeon for the San Antonio Military Vascular Surgery Service at Wilford Hall Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center. He was deployed to Balad, Iraq as a vascular surgeon in the 332nd Expeditionary Medical Group from 9/06 - 1/07 and was otherwise a member of the 859th Surgical Operations Squadron of the 59th Medical Wing at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.
