Overview
I am a native of Minnesota, having grown up in the small town of St. Stephen (population 851). I had an excellent role model of a family doctor, and always aspired to be a great doctor like them. I moved to the South where I attended Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine and went onto residency at the McLeod Family Medicine Residency Program in Florence, South Carolina. While the weather is much nicer in the South, nothing compares to being in the same state as family. I love working with patients of all ages and disease states, most commonly high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and kidney disease. I am a practitioner of patient-centered care, managing medical conditions by working together with patients toward the goal of healing. I have found therapeutic lifestyle interventions to be an excellent addition to the provider-patient relationship, and a great help in treating chronic disease. I am board certified in both family medicine and lifestyle medicine.
