Dr. Michaela R. Wagner

Michaela Wagner, DO, is a pediatrician who cares for children from newborns through adolescence. She provides well-child checkups, vaccines/immunizations, developmental screenings and sports physicals. Dr. Wagner also treats common childhood illnesses and chronic conditions such as ear infections, strep throat, asthma, allergies, eczema and ADHD.|In the hospital, she serves as a newborn nursery provider, helping new parents with early feeding and newborn care, and partnering with families to manage nutrition and growth concerns. Dr. Wagner also coordinates with pediatric specialists as needed, making sure families can make confident, informed decisions about their children’s care.|Raised in Lewistown, Pa., and born at the Lewistown Hospital, Dr. Wagner says, “I’m honored to return home to Geisinger to practice pediatrics in the rural community that shaped me.” She believes great care starts with long-term relationships — getting to know each child personally — and supporting families through every developmental stage.|Dr. Wagner completed pediatrics training at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. During her postdoctoral training, she received the Intern Advocacy Award and the Best Teacher and Role Model Award. Her scholarly work includes projects on infant growth assessment and eosinophilic esophagitis in children.

She is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 1 peer reviewed article. Dr. Wagner is currently accepting new patients.
