
Overview
Michelle Tibbs MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California Los Angeles and her medical degree at the University of California San Diego. She completed her medical training at the University of California San Diego, where she served as chief resident and received the Resident Award for Clinical Excellence in multiple years. Dr. Tibbs then joined the faculty at the University of Michigan Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Tibbs' clinical focus is the treatment of breast cancer, and works with the multidisciplinary team (surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiology, pathology) to offer personalized treatment plans to our patients. She is passionate about improving patient education, quality of life, and survivorship, as well as teaching and mentoring students and residents. She has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at national conferences.

In addition she also serves as a consultant for the Michigan Radiation Oncology Quality Consortium (MROQC) focused on quality improvement in patients undergoing radiation therapy for breast cancer, lung cancer and bone metastases.
