Overview
I am a general adult psychiatrist with a focus on psychopharmacology. This focus means that I use medications as part of a treatment plan for mental illness. I believe in the care of the whole person. For most people, that includes trying to live a healthy lifestyle and participating in psychotherapy, in addition to considering medication. In my practice, I see a wide range of psychiatric conditions and all types of patients. I am a physician for the Park Nicollet Reproductive Mental Health Program, which means I have a special interest in reproductive psychiatry. This area deals with working with people who have mental health concerns related to pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, and reproductive loss. I collaborate with patients, their families and their therapists so that we can all be informed and active participants in treatment.
