Dr. Michelle P. Kallis

Michelle P. Kallis, MD, PhD, is a pediatric surgeon with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery, she specializes in performing surgical procedures on infants, children, and adolescents to treat a wide range of congenital and acquired conditions. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to all patients and ensuring they are educated about their condition and treatment.Dr. Kallis earned a BS in biology with a minor in political science from Fordham University, New York, NY, followed by an MS in physiology and biophysics from Georgetown University, Washington, DC, a medical degree from New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY, and a PhD from Feinstein Institutes of Medical Research, Manhasset, NY. She then completed a general surgery internship and residency at North Shore University Hospital-LIJ Medical Center in Manhasset, a pediatric surgery research fellowship at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, New Hyde Park, NY, and a pediatric surgery fellowship at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, St. Louis, MO.Dr. Kallis has authored peer-reviewed publications, delivered national and international presentations, and is a member of the professional organizations American College of Surgeons, Association for Academic Surgery, American Pediatric Surgical Association, and American Association for Cancer Research. She is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.

Her clinical expertise encompasses Pectus Excavatum, Pilonidal Sinus Disease, Pectus Carinatum, Pancreaticoduodenectomy, and Appendectomy.

She is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 16 peer reviewed articles. Dr. Kallis is currently accepting new patients.
