Michelle Stone is an advance practice nurse with Atlantic Medical Group Endocrinology. Michelle provides comprehensive diabetes care by educating patients about their diagnosis, laboratory values, and lifestyle modifications. Her educational sessions cover topics including insulin administration, medications, meal planning, and how to use a glucometer to monitor blood sugar. As a nurse practitioner, Michelle conducts a thorough assessment of an individual’s lifestyle, goals of care and diabetes control. She initiates medications – both oral and injectables – and treats complications caused by diabetes. Other services Michelle provides include reviewing blood sugar logs, continuous glucose monitoring, and point of care HbA1c testing.
