My mother’s career as a nurse started my interest in medicine. I volunteered as a candy striper during high school and worked as a nursing assistant through college. After college and medical school in my home state of Ohio, I moved to Delaware for a Nemours residency that combined pediatrics with physical medicine and rehabilitation. I find my patients fun to work with, I love watching them grow, and I enjoy getting to know them and their families. The kids I treat inspire me with their resilience. I’m passionate about helping families of children with neuromuscular injuries or congenital issues become active, informed participants on their child’s care team. It takes a group effort to help an injured child return to prior function or to help a child with a chronic condition make the most of function they have.
