Overview
My original bachelor's degree was health promotion, and I was on track to continue my education to become a physical therapist. But through my work study job, I found a love for nursing and health sciences. I moved to Omaha, NE, to obtain my second bachelor's degree in nursing. I then began my journey caring for women as a labor and delivery nurse for 12 years at Methodist Hospital in St Louis Park, MN. I wanted to expand my knowledge and ability to care for women of all ages and stages, so I continued my education to get my Master's of Nursing and become a certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. I want to empower women to make informed decisions for themselves and help them navigate the different stages of their lives. This could be through different lifestyle interventions, medical interventions or partnering with other specialties to make sure we're addressing their concerns.
