
Overview
Nate Jowett, M.D., Ph.D., F.R.C.S.C., is a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon focused on advancing techniques and outcomes for patients with sensorimotor neural deficits of the head and neck, in particular Bell's palsy (facial palsy) and trigeminal anesthesia. He is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Harvard Medial School. He completed medical school at the University of Toronto, surgical training in Otolaryngology and doctoral training in Biomedical Engineering at McGill University, and fellowship training at the University Medical Center Hamburg - Eppendorf and Harvard Medical School. He has authored over 90 peer-reviewed publications, is a U.S. patent holder, and has been awarded several research grants from the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, the Charles H Hood foundation, and the United States National Institutes of Health. He is an 8 time Boston marathon finisher and lives with his wife and six children in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
