Dr. Rakhmanina has held multiple regional, national and international professional roles including serving as immediate past chair of the committee on Pediatric AIDS at the American Academy of Pediatrics and Inclusivity, Diversity and Equity Committee at the American College of Clinical Pharmacology. She is a current member of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Panel on the Pediatric Antiretroviral Therapy and Management Guidelines at the Office of AIDS Research Advisory Council in National Institutes of Health and the Pediatric Advisory Working Group at the World Health Organization. She also serves as a senior technical advisor at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatrics AIDS Foundation, where she leads diverse projects on pediatric and adolescent HIV treatment in sub-Saharan African countries.
