Dr. Nathan P. Falk

Dr. Nathan Falk is the founding program director of the Florida State University Family Medicine Residency Program, a partnership with Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Florida. As a board certified family medicine physician, with an added qualification certificate in sports medicine, Dr. Falk oversees the three-year residency program designed to educate and retain family medicine physicians to serve Polk County. Dr. Falk completed his undergraduate degree in chemistry from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He then continued his medical education by completing a family medicine residency at Offutt Air Force Base/University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Dr. Falk then completed fellowships from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland in primary care sports medicine and faculty development. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration in healthcare management from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota. An accomplished academic, Dr. Falk has held multiple assistant and associate professor positions with institutions such as the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida State University in Orlando, the University of Nebraska in Omaha, Tongi University in Shanghai, China and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Additionally, he has contributed numerous articles to peer-reviewed journals like, American Family Physician and American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Falk has incredible experience and a passion for improving primary care access for our communities. He is affiliated with Winter Haven Hospital.

Dr. Falk is board certified in AB Family Medicine - Family Medicine and AB Family Medicine (Sports Medicine). He is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 11 peer reviewed articles.
