From my childhood, I have always been regarded as caring, offering empathetic ears to my siblings and cousins. As I grew up and showed strong aptitude for academics, I was initially leaning toward engineering as most of my uncles and cousins had towed that line. With only limited knowledge of requirements for medicine, I decided against it, initially believing that my poor skills at drawing would not allow me to draw good anatomical figures. During our days in secondary school, we were required to draw and annotate leaves and dissected frogs. I changed to medicine once I realized otherwise.What I want my patients to know about me:As an adult with many years of professional practice, I still remain a very empathetic, caring physician. In spite of the challenges of juggling between meeting expectations of various stakeholders, I remain focused on doing the ultimate best for my clients and their families.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I like to read, listen to music and engage in outdoor exercise.
