Dr. Huertas attended the University of Charleston, WV where he was elected to the Scientific Honor Society Ki Beta Phi for his outstanding achievements in the field of biology. In 1994 he graduated from medical school at Ponce School of Medicine and went on to complete general surgery internship training at Boston University surgery residency program. Dr. Huertas has also completed postgraduate training in cosmetic gynecology with acclaimed surgeon Dr. Matlock at The Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute in Beverly Hills, California. He has also done additional cosmetic surgery training at the Pelosi Medical Center in Boston Bayonne New Jersey. Since 2000, Dr. Huertas has been in private practice in Texas having performed thousands of successful surgeries and cutting-edge procedures for patients from different states and countries.
