Overview
Parin R. Shah, D.O., is a fellowship-trained pulmonary and critical care physician with special interests in pulmonary embolism, lung nodules and interstitial lung diseases, a group of disorders that can lead to permanent scarring of the lungs. He also excels at minimally invasive bronchoscopy procedures, including endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and robotic bronchoscopy, to help diagnose lung cancers at an early stage. Before his medical training, Dr. Shah earned a Bachelor of Arts in cell biology and neuroscience from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He earned his medical degree from Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. Dr. Shah completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, Connecticut, and a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Tower Health Reading Medical Center in West Reading, Pennsylvania. He is double board-certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Shah is not just a physician but also a dedicated educator.
