Overview
Working in primary care means that I get to take care of the whole person and what they care about most. That and hearing patients’ stories are the two things I love most about my job. My own story has had stops from the east coast to the Midwest, and then finally to North Carolina where my wife and I matched for residencies. Along the way I picked up interests in caring for people affected by cancer, those without stable housing/health insurance, and mental health. I also received additional training in caring for patients with HIV.
