Patrick Erstad, MD, is an internal medicine resident physician providing primary care for adults. Dr. Erstad believes the best care starts with getting to know each patient as a person. He takes the time to understand what matters most to his patients, explain their diagnosis and treatment options clearly, and work together to create a care plan that fits their goals and needs.In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Erstad serves as Chief Resident for the Internal Medicine Residency Program, where he helps teach and mentor future physicians. He is also developing a clinic to care for people recovering from critical illness, helping patients manage health concerns that can continue after a stay in the intensive care unit.Dr. Erstad is a member of the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine, American College of Chest Physicians, American College of Physicians, American Thoracic Society and Washington State Medical Association.Outside of medicine, Dr. Erstad enjoys spending time outdoors skiing, biking, hiking and camping. He also enjoys gardening, playing guitar, cooking and spending time with his wife and pets.
