She remained in Pennsylvania to complete a rheumatology fellowship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where she was elected as a chief rheumatology fellow during her final year. Prior to joining AMG, Dr. Patel served as a staff rheumatologist at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey.Dedicated to improving patient outcomes, she has collaborated on research to explore treatment responses in patients with osteoarthritis in relation to racial and gender differences. Dr. Patel is a member of several notable organizations, including the American College of Rheumatology, the American College of Physicians and the Association of Women in Rheumatology. She is also a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
