Overview

Rachel Boyles, PA-C, is a physician assistant with the Neurosciences Institute who is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered neurological and spine care. Inspired by her mother’s work as a nurse in stroke rehabilitation, Rachel developed an early interest in medicine and the human brain through witnessing the impact of empathetic care on patients and families navigating neurological conditions. Her passion for neuroscience became even more personal after a close family member experienced a traumatic brain injury requiring intensive care and brain surgery. Rachel credits that experience, along with the support provided by the neurosurgical team, as a defining influence in her decision to pursue a career in neurological medicine. She is committed to providing patients and families with the same level of education, compassion, and reassurance during difficult times. Rachel practices in the outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings, allowing her to care for patients throughout every stage of treatment and recovery. She has a particular interest and background in spine care and values building meaningful relationships with patients while helping them better understand their diagnosis and treatment options. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Rachel worked as a caregiver for patients with cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s disease, as well as a pharmacy technician. She earned her undergraduate degree from Stockton University and her master’s degree from Thomas Jefferson University. Originally from Pittsburgh, Rachel is excited to continue serving patients throughout New Jersey. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and the AO Spine Foundation. Philosophy of Care “The most rewarding part of my work is building relationships with patients and helping them regain function and quality of life.”.
