A native Texan, Dr. Rebecca Beyda earned her medical degree at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). She completed her residency at the Arizona Children’s Center at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix and a fellowship at McGovern Medical School. In practice since 2006, Dr. Beyda is board certified in both general pediatrics and adolescent medicine. Her primary clinical interests include young women’s health, detained youth, chronic illness and obesity. She offers a full range of pediatric medical services as well treating acne, substance abuse, eating disorders and sexually transmitted diseases in adolescent patients. An assistant professor of pediatrics at McGovern Medical School, Dr. Beyda is active in community outreach, resident teaching and pediatric advocacy. She has contributed to several professional publications and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Texas Pediatric Society and Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine. In her leisure time, Dr. Beyda enjoys running, yoga, cooking and spending time with her family.
