Dr. Richard Ou earned his undergraduate degree at Harvard University, where he was captain of the varsity swim team, and his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed a medical internship in San Francisco and his ophthalmology residency at Jules Stein Eye Institute at the University of California at Los Angeles. Dr. Ou, who is board certified in ophthalmology, focuses on comprehensive eye care. In practice since 1999, he is an expert in no-stitch, no-patch, small-incision cataract surgery that can eliminate the need for reading glasses. He speaks Spanish. Dr. Ou has served on the clinical faculty at Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA and is currently an assistant clinical professor at Baylor College of Medicine.
