Overview
Richard 'Rick' Kleinschmidt, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant who specializes in both adult and pediatric general otolaryngology (ENT), caring for patients of all ages. He provides comprehensive inpatient services, including diagnosing and managing various ENT ailments; ordering and interpreting laboratory, imaging studies, and audiograms; and airway management. Rick collaborates with ENT physicians in his group, assisting in surgeries - including head and neck surgery - as well as post-operative care. His procedure experience includes nasal endoscopy; laryngoscopy; cerumen removal; myringotomy; ear tube placement; trans-tympanic steroid infusion; oral cavity/nasal cavity biopsies; and sinus debridement. Rick enjoys helping ENT patients who are struggling with certain ailments find answers and ultimately relief. His patients appreciate his caring, informative, and reassuring approach to medicine. Rick is a member of the Illinois Association of Physician Assistants (IAPA); the Society of Physician Assistants in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery; and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
