Dr. Robert E. Tarpy

Dr. Edwin Kepner Silverman is chief of the Channing Division of Network Medicine and a physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). He is also a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.He received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. He then completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary disease at BWH. His research uses a variety of genetic analysis approaches to investigate the genetic influences of complex lung diseases, including integrative genomics, linkage analysis, familial aggregation analysis, rare variant analysis and epigenetic studies. Dr. Tsukada started his service at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in October 2014. He has expanded the Interventional Pulmonology procedures up to 1,000 cases per year in 2023. Dr. Tsukada is research focuses on developing an artificial trachea for in vivo implantation and airway tissue regeneration.
