She also served as program director of the university’s neurology residency program, consulted with its neuromuscular outpatient clinic, neurology inpatients, and multidisciplinary ALS clinic, and served as clinic director of the Rutgers RWJMS chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and interim director of the RWJMS ALS Clinic.After earning her medical degree at University of Vermont College of Medicine, Burlington, Dr. Leitch completed her residency in neurology at The Neurological Institute at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, NYC, followed by a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine and neurophysiology.The author of several publications in peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Leitch has presented many times on the subjects of adult muscle disease, diabetic neuropathy, and myasthenia gravis. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
