Overview
Dr. Robert Rampton is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of dermatology. He joined Skin Care Specialists in July 2023. He has most recently been practicing as the Chief of Dermatology at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii where he oversaw the dermatology care for the military population of Hawaii and the other Pacific islands. After serving for the last 12 years in the US Army he is thrilled to return to Arizona.
Dr. Rampton graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Exercise Science, and completed medical school at Arizona College of Medicine (Glendale, AZ), where he finished in the top of his class, and was inducted into the Osteopathic Honor Society. After medical school he completed his internship in El Paso, TX and his Dermatology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.
Dr. Rampton loves dermatology and caring for patients of all ages (children, adults, and elderly). He enjoys helping patients better understand how taking care of their skin can affect their overall health. He looks forward to developing long term relationships and trust with his patients. He treats all dermatologic conditions, and has a particular interest in skin cancer prevention, detection, and treatment.
Dr. Rampton grew up in Corvallis, Oregon. After high school, he spent two years living in the Dominican Republic where he became fluent in Spanish. He enjoys coaching youth sports and playing ultimate frisbee, softball, volleyball and basketball. With his wife, Jessica and three young sons, Dr. Rampton also enjoys camping, hiking, and anything outdoors.
