Dr. Sarah B. Nielsen
Overview
Sarah Nielsen, MD, brings expertise, compassion and unique life experience to her medical practice. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and sculpture from the University of Pennsylvania, she opted to stay home full time with her two sons. She was a full time at-home parent when she decided to pursue her lifelong love of medical science and children. She received her medical degree from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons followed by completing her internship and residency training at Columbia-Presbyterian’s Babies and Children’s Hospital (now known as Children’s Hospital of New York) in her hometown of New York City. She is a Board certified as a pediatrician from the American Board of Pediatrics, and dedicated to caring for and supporting children and their parents. If you asked her which age she enjoyed the most, she would tell you, “All of them! From newborns to college kids!” In her spare time Dr. Nielsen spends as much time as possible with her now grown children as well as pursuing activities in the great outdoors in all four seasons with her husband. She is also an excellent baker and working to make the world a sweeter place - in moderation of course!.
