Dr. Smith’s comprehensive medical weight management program is available for Inova 360° Concierge Medicine patients on a referral basis. After many years of practicing primary care, Dr. Smith has treated a great number of patients with weight-related chronic medical conditions. Striving for the best outcomes for her patients, she began researching ways to treat chronic conditions and obesity. Dr. Smith enjoys working with patients to create a comprehensive and individualized weight management program including nutrition, physical activity, behavioral changes and medications if necessary. She believes an individual’s weight is multifactorial and losing weight is not as simple as ""calories in – calories out."" In order to achieve desired outcomes, Dr. Smith works with each patient to meet their unique needs.
