Overview
My philosophy of care is that I desire to take care of my patients the way I'd like my family to be cared for.|My clinical interests include acute illness and injury, and I still work in urgent care, but I've gradually gravitated towards treating substance use disorders.|Why I Love My Work|What I enjoy about my work is my patients, and I appreciate the opportunity to meet them in their need, particularly helping those who're struggling as I have struggled.|I was motivated to go into health care because thirty years ago, when I set out to study medicine, I had a simple desire to help others. Over the last 10 years however, in dealing with my own addiction, I've gravitated towards addiction medicine, using my own painful experiences for something good.|Getting to Know Me|Outside of work, I am with my family, or training for and competing in CrossFit.
