Dr. Seung Ah Lee is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in cosmetic and complex surgeries, with a focus on breast reconstruction. She has expertise in advanced techniques, such as microsurgical free tissue transfers (replacing damaged tissue with healthy tissue from another part of the body), implant-based breast reconstruction methods, local tissue rearrangement to create symmetry in the cancer-affected breast, and fat grafting for the breast (using fat from another part of the body). She also performs reconstructive surgery for defects in the head, neck, torso, arms and legs, as well as peripheral nerves. She believes in empowering patients through education, offering the information they need to be fully involved in their health care journeys. Lee earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri. She completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of California, Irvine, followed by a fellowship in microsurgery at UCSF.
She is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 11 peer reviewed articles. Dr. Lee is currently accepting new patients.
