Philosophy of care | Nursing is a lifelong journey and commitment, requiring adaptability, continuing education and a level of excellence. A nursing career also requires frequent self-assessment, awareness and sensitivity. My unwavering commitment to a career in nursing has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and skill. It has also humbled me to know I will be a lifelong learner. My philosophy is to stay keen and competent while protecting, caring and advocating for my patients. Patient care requires treating the whole patient. | Why I entered medicine | Being a part of the health care field has been my desire as long as I can remember. It has allowed me to apply my passion in many areas (emergency medicine, critical care, forensics, plastics, electrophysiology) while cultivating skills that help me advocate for my patients. | Community involvement | I have many Lehigh Valley roots: Apart from the medical community, I’m active in school and community volunteering. I’m also a strong advocate for public education. My family and I very involved with youth sports. | Personal interests | I’m an avid book reader and enjoy poetry as well as watching youth sports.
