Dr. Sharon Lee’s grandmother played a pivotal role in her upbringing, inspiring a love of reading and a curiosity of the world. Her grandmother’s death from cancer left many questions unanswered, prompting Dr. Lee to learn more about the human body. In medical school, she became fascinated with the central role hormones play in regulating the human body. This fascination led Dr. Lee to pursue her subspeciality in Endocrinology, an area she finds intellectually stimulating.
