After earning a medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Chawla completed a residency in internal medicine at Columbia University Medical Center. He then went on to pursue advanced cardiology training at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey—a cardiac transplant center—where he served as Chief Fellow in his final year. Dr. Chawla specializes in the management of cardiovascular disease across the spectrum, with particular expertise in lipid disorders, preventative cardiology, valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, sports cardiology and heart failure management. He brings multiple certifications and knowledge from related studies to his practice, providing a strong and comprehensive background for the care he provides.
