Philosophy of care | I believe patients should be treated as a whole and that their illness does not define them as a person. Your care should be individualized and constructed based on the most up-to-date standards along with your preferences and beliefs. | Why I entered medicine | As long as I can remember, I have had the desire to help others. I started as a nursing aide in 2009, and then went back for my registered nursing license. I have been working as a registered nurse in multiple specialties the past 10 years. The past five years have been in the operating room as well as assisting with pain injections, colonoscopies and endoscopies. Through my practice as a nurse practitioner, I plan to deliver the best possible care incorporating knowledge from my previous experiences. | Community involvement | I have been involved in blood pressure clinics at homeless shelters and volunteer as often as I can to aid in causes I am passionate about. | Personal interests | When not working I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with friends and family, including my pet parrot, cat and dog.
