She completed her residency in pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medicine and fellowship training in pediatric emergency medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital / Columbia University Irving Medical Center.Dr. McLaren’s research focuses on respiratory viral infections and the development of novel diagnostic and predictive tools to improve outcomes in young infants and other vulnerable populations. Her current work, supported by the NICHD K23 Award, utilizes clinical, viral and physiological time-series data from bedside monitors to build prediction models for respiratory deterioration in young infants with bronchitis. Dr. McLaren also serves on the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Collaborative Research Committee (PEM CRC) Steering Committee and is board-certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She practices as an attending physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.
