Overview
Sonya Kirmani, MD, is a UW Health pediatric cardiologist and an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Cardiology, at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She cares for children with heart muscle disorders (cardiomyopathies) and heart failure. She also provides care and follow-up treatment for children who need a ventricular assist device (VAD) or heart transplant.Dr. Kirmani’s care philosophy is both patient- and family-centered. She is rewarded by the relationships she builds and the improvements she sees in the lives of the children in her care.Outside of work, Dr. Kirmani enjoys going to local events and spending time with friends.
