Overview
Spencer Hansen, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified Addiction Psychiatrist who specializes in helping individuals heal from problematic alcohol, cannabis, opioids (including heroin and fentanyl), stimulants, nicotine, and other drug use. He also focuses on providing care for co-occurring issues that often accompany addiction issues, including insomnia, pain, depression, anxiety, residual psychosis, and brain injury from drug use. He approaches care holistically, recognizing that healing is supported by medical, psychological, spiritual, and community/family resources. Dr. Hansen is also a People's Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA) certified Five Needle Point Auricular Acupuncturist for help to manage addiction and general mental health.He has four kids and loves the seasons of Utah and getting to know the great people in this beautiful city and state.
