Dr. Sriya Babu
Overview
Dr. Sriya Babu is a fellowship-trained podiatric surgeon who has been with Arthritis & Sports in the Sterling and South Riding offices since 2024. She is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art care to patients with injuries and disorders of the foot and ankle.
A native of the DMV, Dr. Babu is deeply connected to her community and is proud to have returned. She attended the University of Pittsburgh for her undergraduate education where she studied biology and dance. This unique blend of disciplines not only honed her scientific acumen but also instilled in her a deep appreciation for the artistry of human movement. She received her D.P.M. from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her podiatric residency with an added credential in reconstructive rearfoot/ankle at Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital where she served as the chief resident in her final year. Subsequently, she received fellowship training in advanced foot and ankle reconstructive surgery and trauma at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital.
In addition to her work at Arthritis & Sports, Dr. Babu is an associate member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, and a member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.
