Stefanie Aring is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She previously worked as an ICU nurse for 5 years, and has loved the transition into primary care. She enjoys being able to positively impact patient’s lives and help them become healthier by empowering her patients with courage and knowledge. She particularly enjoys patients with anxiety and/or depression, patients with GI concerns, and helping patients with their hormones, including HRT/BHRT in the perimenopause and menopause eras. She has extensive training in functional/intergrative medicine. She approaches patients as a whole and tries to get to the bottom of their diseases, rather than focusing on individual parts. She believes it is vital to work with patients to come up with a plan that is achievable for them and appreciates that medicine is unique to each person, and that there is not a one size fits all when it comes to treating various ailments. She ideally treats patients with food, lifestyle changes, and supplements before turning to medications, but also knows medication plays a role in the healing process.
When Stefanie is not working, she enjoys anything outdoors, sports, and traveling. She gets out hiking, camping, backpacking, snowshoeing, etc., almost every weekend with her husband, 2 children, and rambunctious dog. She has traveled to over 30 countries and hopes to travel to at least 30 more! She also enjoys gardening and cooking.
