He earned his medical degree at the University of South Carolina in Greenville, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Society. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Orlando Health, during which he earned multiple research symposium first place awards. He completed his fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, which is affiliated with the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. About Dr. Cardin Dr. Cardin's professional memberships include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. He serves on several POSNA committees and received the POSNA 2024 Roshen N. Irani Research Training Grant for his work on pediatric elbow fractures. Dr. Cardin has written several research manuscripts and book chapters and contributed to peer-reviewed publications on topics including scoliosis, hip preservation, fractures and surgical techniques. He gives back to the community by offering medical care at sporting events such as the Arnold Palmer Invitational and by participating in American Heart Association programs. Dr. Cardin feels strongly about global health initiatives and volunteers abroad. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, soccer, cooking and traveling.
