Stuart Kaufman, MD, FACC, FAAP, is technical director of the Pediatric Echocardiography lab at Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical Center. Board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Kaufman is part of Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). He has more than 34 years of experience and advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of children with congenital and acquired heart conditions. They include cardiac arrhythmia, cardiac diseases, heart failure, high blood pressure, pediatric cardiology and fetal cardiology.In addition to being an attending pediatrician at Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical Center and Hersh Children’s Center at Overlook Medical Center, Dr. Kaufman sees patients at Newton Medical Center and is a consultant at Chilton and Hackettstown medical centers. He also serves as an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York.After earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, now called Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Kaufman completed his pediatric residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY, followed by fellowship training in pediatric cardiology at the New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York City.The author of multiple publications in peer-reviewed medical journals, Dr. Kaufman has presented at national and international medical meetings. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) as well as a member of multiple professional societies including the American Society of Echocardiography, American Heart Association, New York Heart Association, and the Pediatric Cardiology Society of Greater New York, and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
