I chose to specialize in emergency medicine because it gives me the opportunity to work with an interesting and diverse patient population and help people when they have an immediate need for medical care. I enjoy working with patients of all ages and providing comprehensive care in an urgent care setting. As an urgent care clinician for HealthPartners Urgent Care Centers, I consider it a privilege to be trusted to care for patients when they may be dealing with serious, unexpected medical problems. I enjoy treating patients in urgent care and then working with them to ensure they receive the ongoing care they may need going forward. For some patients, urgent care is the access point to the health system, and I help them get established in the appropriate care setting - whether it's finding a new primary care provider for someone new to the area, or helping a mother-to-be find an OB-GYN. I like to spend my free time with my family. I enjoy traveling, gardening, listening to audiobooks and cooking.
