Dr. Suzan A. Bilgesu

Suzan Bilgesu, DO, is a colorectal surgeon who is double board-certified in general and colorectal surgery. She performs surgeries on adults to treat colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, hemorrhoids, fissures, fistulas, fecal incontinence and rectal prolapse. She also performs colonoscopies. She has a clinical interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.|A native of West Virginia, Dr. Bilgesu moved to Michigan for residency before coming to Geisinger for her fellowship. “I have enjoyed being around my group and the hospital staff so much that I decided to stay after my fellowship. Geisinger is a very well-run hospital providing excellent care to patients on par with bigger name hospitals in larger cities.”.

She is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 5 peer reviewed articles. Dr. Bilgesu is currently accepting new patients.
