An essential aspect of being a surgeon is providing education about disease processes and surgical options in a way that patients and their families are adequately informed, comfortable and confident in the process. Discussing or undergoing surgery is a vulnerable position for most patients. That’s why delivering competent care with compassion and empathy is important to me. With every encounter, decision and recommendation, I picture each patient as a family member. My ultimate goals are to earn patients’ trust and to deliver safe, evidence-based surgical care. Being a surgeon is a privilege, and operating on patients comes with high responsibility I never take lightly.|My clinical interests include robotic and minimally invasive surgery, benign and cancer disease of the breast, hernia surgery, colon surgery and gall bladder surgery.|Why I Love My Work|I like building connections with patients and their families as well as working with like-minded individuals towards a common goal of offering patients the best care.|Getting to Know Me|Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter. I enjoy being active outdoors, riding my Peloton, watching sporting events and drinking a good cup of coffee.
