Overview
Although I knew I wanted to be a doctor all my life, I did not make the decision to be a pediatrician until medical school. While shadowing a pediatrician during my first year, I was amazed by the joy that children brought to the office and knew I wanted to experience that joy for the rest of my career. In the office, I see children from birth to young adulthood and particularly enjoy working with teenagers. I believe the best health care comes from communication and collaboration. Taking the time to listen to my patients and their parents is really important to me. Remember, there are no stupid questions, especially when it comes to the health of your children. I love working where I live, here in Wake County. When not working, I can be found knitting, crocheting, reading science fiction, and walking the greenways with my husband, three children, and dog.
