Overview
Dr. Contelmo specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, managing abnormal uterine bleeding and contraceptive counseling and management. After earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Contelmo completed her residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center and earned awards for minimally invasive and gynecologic oncology surgery. While Dr. Contelmo appreciates the balance between performing surgery and building relationships with patients that her specialty offers, she chose women’s health to help build a safe health care space for women and empower them to take ownership of their reproductive and overall health. Dr. Contelmo believes that through the osteopathic approach and treating the whole patient, she can practice collaborative care, educate her patients and offer shared decision making throughout their lifetime.
