He operates at both Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.Regularly featured in Phoenix Magazine's annual list of Top Doctors, Dr. Hernandez has been credited in the state of Arizona as being one of the earliest pioneers in the field of breast-conserving surgery, and advanced innovative techniques as Oncoplastic Surgery, Brachytherapy and Nipple-Areolar Skin-Sparing Mastectomies. He believes in comprehensive Breast Cancer care in conjunction with both Radiation and Medical Oncology.Over the years, Dr. Hernandez has served the regional medical community in various leadership roles that includes serving Chandler Regional Medical Center as the Chief of Staff, the Chairman of the Department of Surgery also as a Member of the hospital's Board of Directors. He is well respected in the medical community as a leader and a colleague.Dr. Hernandez was born in Mexico and immigrated to the USA at the age of ten.
