Philosophy of care | I believe in patients (or their parents) being actively involved in their care and treatment plan to maximize outcomes. Medicine is a team effort, and the patient plays the most integral role of that team. | Why I entered medicine | I had long been interested in the medical field and was inspired to go into nursing after my daughter was born with a congenital defect that would have been incompatible with life without surgical intervention. Seeing firsthand the stellar care she received made me want to impact others' lives in such a way. | Community involvement | I am an active member of my children's Parent-Teacher Organization, I volunteer within their school, and regularly attend our district's school board meetings. I have volunteered at Lehigh Valley Health Network's Flu Shot Clinic and have done work within a local food pantry. | Personal interests | I enjoy time with family, vacationing, reading, writing, photography, music, television/movies, and exercising.
